TikTok has launched a new option for videos – “Signatures”. This feature generates subtitles, allowing creators to quickly add text to their videos.
If you turn on the automatic subtitles feature in Tik-Tok, then viewers will see a text transcript of the sound from the video.
How to make subtitles in Tik-Tok: step by step instructions
Step 1. To enable automatic captioning of TikTok videos, you need to click on the Captions button after uploading or recording the video.
Step 2. After processing, you will see the signature text below. To edit it, click on the pencil icon.
The signature editing window will open. Here you can delete unnecessary text or change it if mistakes are made somewhere.
Once enabled, subtitles are overlaid on the clip by default, but viewers can disable them in their playback options.
According to the developers, subtitles can help increase the viewing time and increase the number of responses to videos. Users have added text over video before, but each time it had to be done manually.
